A Literature Review on Intelligent Services Applied to Distance Learning

Distance learning has assumed a relevant role in the educational scenario. The use of Virtual Learning Environments contributes to obtaining substantial amount data. In this sense, analyzed data generate knowledge used by institutions assist managers and professors strategic planning teaching. discovery students’ behaviors enables wide variety intelligent services for assisting process. This article presents literature review order identify applied distance learning. research covers period from January 2010 May 2021. initial search found 1316 articles, among which 51 were selected further studies. Considering 33% (17/51) focus on systems, 35% (18/51) propose recommendation 26% (13/51) approach predictive systems or models, 6% (3/51) assessment tools. allowed observation that principal offered are systems. these services, analysis student profiles stands out patterns behavior, detect low performance, probabilities dropouts courses.
